Jenny Chapman (born 25 September 1972) was the Labour Party MP for Darlington from 6 May 2010 to 6 November 2019, succeeding Alan Milburn and preceding Peter Gibson. Jenny Chapman was born in Surrey, England in 1972, and she went on to marry the Labour Party MP Nick Smith. Chapman was elected MP for Darlington in County Durham in 2010, but she lost for re-election 40% to 48% in 2019, with the Conservative Party candidate Peter Gibson defeating her.
