An amateur skygazer using Google Maps came across a broad ring-shaped dent in northern Quebec. Specialists from Quebec’s geological survey confirmed it is a massive meteorite impact crater formed around 390 million years near Lake Mistassini. The ground formation resembles other confirmed craters and indicates a major ancient collision. Satellite images were it thoroughly cross-referenced field data to substantiate the discovery.
