Connor Goldson made it through a 13-hour cardiac procedure overnight.

He spent Sunday night in the intensive care unit after doctors finished the job.

Goldson wrote a brief post just after midnight to say he's holding steady.

This was the second time in the past few months he has needed significant operation.

The defender has now left hospital and is recovering at his house with his family nearby.

Clinicians have him under observation as he recovers.
