Latest News About Sabalenka decries Wimbledon’s strict dog policy

Aryna Sabalenka said Wimbledon’s rule that bars dogs from the players’ zones is excessively tight.

She said the ban distresses her and is unjust to players who keep animals.

She asked the tournament to allow dogs back to act quickly.

The ban applies to all player areas throughout the week, daily, preventing owners from keeping their dogs close, which seems excessive.

Sabalenka made the remarks on 2 July 2026, after the championships began.

She told officials the rule is emotionally painful and pleaded for dogs to re‑enter the player zones.
